Michigan Wolverines, Sherrone Moore Receive Huge QB Recruiting Prediction
The Michigan Wolverines and head coach Sherrone Moore are excited about young quarterback Bryce Underwood heading into the 2025 college football season. However, they have not shut down continuing to try and bring in more talent at the position. Underwood could be the quarterback for three years, but Michigan has to bring in talent behind him as well. To that end, the Wolverines have received a major new prediction regarding the 2026 recruiting class. Moore has been showing interest in a couple of different options and it seems that they’re trending well when it comes to one of them. On3 Sports expert Steve Wiltfong has logged a new prediction for Michigan to land 2026 four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel. He has given his confidence rating in the prediction a 40, which leaves the door open for change. If the Wolverines were able to land a commitment from Smigiel, they would be in a much stronger position under center moving into the future. Smigiel, who hails from Newbury Park, California, was originally committed to Florida State. He chose to decommit from the Seminoles back in January. According to s, Smigiel is the No. 8 ranked quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. He is also ranked No. 84 overall in the nation and No. 13 in the state of California. Outside of Michigan, there are plenty of high-profile schools with offers on the table for him. Some of those teams include Florida State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Florida, and Ohio State
Moore and the Wolverines still have work to do, but they seem to have a fighting chance.
