Dunn, a Heisman Trophy contender during his time with the Seminoles from 1993-1996, played a crucial role in FSU’s 1993 national championship season. His electrifying speed and leadership cemented his place in the program’s history. After a decade-long NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons, where he became a three-time Pro Bowler, Dunn transitioned into philanthropy and business, building a reputation as a leader both in sports and the community.
His return to Tallahassee marks a full-circle moment. As Director of Player Development, Dunn will focus on preparing student-athletes for success beyond football. His duties will include career guidance, personal development, and leadership training. Given his own experiences, both as a collegiate athlete and an NFL star, he brings invaluable wisdom to the role.
FSU head coach Mike Norvell expressed excitement about Dunn’s hire, calling it a “game-changer” for the program. “Warrick embodies everything we want in our student-athletes—excellence, integrity, and perseverance,” Norvell said. “His presence will be felt immediately.”
