Exclusive: Nebraska Football Commitment Talk with 2026 QB Dayton Raiola
Dayton Raiola, the brother of Dylan Raiola, the starting quarterback for Nebraska, has declared his commitment to the Huskers.
Nebraska’s 2026 football pledge class is out and running with a well-known family in front of them.
The brother of Dylan Raiola, the starting quarterback for the Huskers right now, Dayton Raiola, has committed to Nebraska. Dayton is a quarterback as well, and he plays for the same Buford, Georgia, team that his brother played high school ball for. According to 247Sports, the younger Raiola weighs 205 pounds and stands 6-1. Dayton is a southpaw, while Dylan is a right-hander.
Dayton announced his commitment Sunday evening and spoke with HuskerMax about the decision.

“I feel like I would be making a mistake if I didn’t go to Nebraska,” Raiola said. “On top of my brother and uncle being there, my sister works in recruiting there now, and my dad was an All-American there. The coaching staff at Nebraska really has shown me real love and I can feel it every time I go up there.”
Dylan has talked plenty about the importance of family, and Dayton feels much the same in choosing the Huskers.
The younger Raiola declared, “It is really important to me that I get to join my brother and uncle.” “I will always remember certain lifelong memories.” How often do people get to play on the same team as their sibling and I get to do it twice on my own?
Raiola said that several coaches were involved in his recruitment, and that NU effectively sent the house.
“I think the people who had the biggest impact were Uncle Donny (Donovan Raiola), Coach Marcus Satterfield, Coach Matt Rhule, Coach Glenn Thomas, and Coach Garrett McGuire because they always have such big smiles on their faces when they see me, and that means a lot to me,” Raiola stated.
Peer recruiting becomes the name of the game for Raiola, just like it was for his older brother less than a year ago.
“I do have a couple of players in mind and anybody else the coaches want me to hit up I will do for sure,” Raiola said.
While some candidates declare their intent to attend but keep going on visits, Raiola claims Nebraska has him under lockdown.
Raiola declared, “I have given my all to Big Red Nation, no questions asked.”
The newest Nebraska football commit pledged to elevate both himself and his brother to new heights in a statement to Husker Nation.
Raiola declared, “Husker fans, we got the band back together.” “Every day, Dylan and I will challenge each other to the limit of our ability and have fun while doing it! GBR!
