Naomi Osaka and Cordae ignite separation rumors three months after welcoming their first child together.
Naomi Osaka and Cordae were rumored to be splitting up barely three months after welcoming their first child together.
The 26-year-old tennis player hinted at a possible separation on Twitter on Tuesday and later deleted all mention of the “Doomsday” rapper from her Instagram.
“I just want someone that will watch the sunset with me,” Osaka tweeted on Oct. 17.
The former World No. 1 tennis player also appeared to indicate that she was single a few weeks ago.
She also liked a tweet from a week prior about “walking away from those who did not value you.”
Cordae did not post anything for Osaka’s birthday on Tuesday and was absent from her celebratory photo dump.
The couple, who have been dating since 2019, unfollowed each other on their social media accounts.
Representatives for Osaka and Cordae, also known as Cordae Amari Dunston, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl called Shai, in July.
“Shai means God’s gift,” Osaka told ESPN. “I wanted her to feel like she was a gift to me and her dad.”
A few days later, the athlete gave fans their first glimpse of her newborn, who wore a tennis onesie.
In January, the tennis pro shared a sonogram snap to reveal her pregnancy.
“Can’t wait to get back on the court, but here’s a little life update for 2023,” she posted on Instagram at the time.
“I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, every day is a new blessing and adventure,” she went onto say. “I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha.”
Osaka, who withdrew from the Australian Open days before announcing her pregnancy, vowed to return to the sport stronger than ever.
“2023 will be a year full of learning for me, and I hope to see you at the start of the next one, as I’ll be in Australia in 2024. “I love you all infinitely.”
