Chelsea star Cole Palmer had a bizarre reaction to the outburst during the Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon,
with the reaction going viral on social media. With the score level, Forest were down to ten men with 12 minutes remaining when
James Ward Prowse was sent off. This led to an onslaught from the Blues as they pushed for a winner.
However, in the closing stages, both sets of players were involved in a coming together by the touchline after Forest defender
Neco Williams appeared to push Marc Cucurella into Enzo Maresca. The manager of Chelsea then extended to the ground,
he alleged that a nameless forest player tried to kick him, which sparked chaotic scenes.
In the burst of drama, fans’ sequences have picked up Nicolas Jackson seeming to raise Morato from the forest.
VAR reviewed the incident and reportedly determined it did not meet the threshold for violent conduct, so the Chelsea players remained on the pitch.
When all of this first began, perhaps the coolest guy on the field was (unsurprisingly) Palmer.
Rear camera footage on social media shows the former Manchester City striker observing the crowd and deciding
to sit on the ground to avoid getting caught up in the melee – which may have been a wise move, especially for Palmer’s side,
as it remains to be seen whether any penalties will be retroactively imposed on the players involved in the incident.
Chelsea could not have had the suspension after the positive start of the season, but the importance of Palmer is definitely important.
England has six goals and four programs in eight games, but his Senegal teammates have four goals and three programs on one exit this season.
