Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea as manager Enzo Maresca looks to strengthen his squad
ahead of the start of the new season in just a few weeks, with the Blues having previously been interested in the Napoli striker.
He has a £110million release clause in his contract signed just over six months ago, with Napoli expecting to receive
the full amount if they want to let him leave this summer. It has been suggested that Chelsea could potentially use
Romelu Lukaku as leverage to try to drive the price down in a possible swap deal. It was recently reported that
the Blues are now looking to ‘move forward’ with their interest in Osimhen after initially deciding not to make a move.
However, Chelsea could face competition from French giants Paris Saint-Germain. Fabbrizio Romano reports that
negotiations will be negotiated between the club and the OSIMHAN camp, and the players are trying to participate in
the PSG if they can agree. If Oshinham’s comments passed earlier this year, it can be held to move to Stanford Bridge.
The forward, who played for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations in January, told CBS Sports:
“I already know what I want to do with my career. I made the decision for myself from the start and everything has been going well.
Although things didn’t go as expected at first. “But I already had a plan, I already knew what I wanted to do, what the next step was that I wanted to take.
So for now I just want to finish the season strong, go relax somewhere with my daughter, and then finally come up with the decision I\’ve already made.\”
I know that there are agreements, that it is a situation different from all the others. I can only assist.
He is an exceptional player at the highest level but I cannot get into any discussions as this was part of the previous contract which was clearly stated to me.
