Chelsea star Nicholas Jackson has made a major change to his look ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Aston Villa.
The Senegalese international, signed last summer, scored 13 goals in 38 appearances in his first season at Stamford Bridge,
but has come under heavy criticism in recent weeks. However, the Blues lack attacking options and the 22-year-old has had to play 90 minutes in seven of their last eight league games.
Two defeats in four days without a goal leaves Chelsea, and Mauricio Pochettino for that matter, in a difficult position, especially
with another difficult fixture on the horizon. “We talked a lot, we had a meeting today and tried to understand how to behave when
the game is difficult, when the demands are very high,” he admitted in the press conference. “We have to get stronger and really believe in the way we play,
the philosophy, the way we prepare for the game and everything after that. And so that discipline is born.
“I said after the game that I can’t blame the players. the situation in which we live.
We have to be positive and strong and believe that tomorrow we can play well, have a good attitude, a good approach and be in the game.
As well as welcoming Pochettino for their next game against Chelsea, Jackson was also spotted sporting a brand new look at Chelsea training.
Jackson had been seen in recent weeks with blue streaks in his black hair, but these have now disappeared and the suspect was captured with almost no hair left on his head.
Jackson’s personal target this season is to score 15 goals and he will be hoping to repeat his early season performance at Villa Park.
Jackson, Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandes all scored in a 3-1 win in the FA Cup rematch in the Midlands earlier this year.
