Chelsea will be without Enzo Fernandes tomorrow when they face Everton at Stamford Bridge.
In Friday’s pre-match press conference, manager Mauricio Pochettino hinted that Enzo Fernandes was doubtful due to a minor injury.
The midfielder is likely to miss his team’s Premier League match against Everton, but there is a reason why Chelsea fans remain positive following the news from journalists.
Fernandes has been a mainstay for Pochettino’s team, appearing in 38 games in all competitions this season.
Last time out against Sheffield United, we lost the ball 23 times and it wasn’t our best game.
Pochettino said Fernandes was doubtful to play due to injury.
However, journalist Gaston Eddur insists there is nothing serious and Chelsea are just paying attention to the 23-year-old.
Edul then said: As mentioned earlier, Fernandes is a key player for Chelsea. They need him to be at his best against City.
With that in mind, it might be worth giving the former Benfica player a day off tomorrow.
Chelsea should be strong enough to beat Everton at home without Fernandes. If they don’t, that’s a very worrying sign for the club.
The Toffees have already beaten their future rivals this season with a 2-0 win at Goodison Park,
so it is clearly not out of the question whether Fernandes starts. But now is not the time to risk your fitness.
