Saturday’s draw with Burnley looked like the last chance to see European football ignite.
Although they are not out of the game yet, it was a great chance to take three points,
so it will be difficult to see how they can recover from their two losses.
We had a chance to win in the last minute and in the end it looked like
Raheem Sterling had two chances to save the season and was able to thwart both of them.
Chelsea Unseen cameras get even closer to predictions from new and exciting angles.
First up was a perfect ball from Cole Palmer, who headed it wide of the goal just as Sterling was about to score and throw a big party in the stadium.
Enzo Fernandes then fired a similarly powerful shot which Sterling brought into the box but failed to find
the target before the final tackle arrived. These moments felt like the final embers of a season.
Chelsea’s season has been full of missed chances, and today’s game was once again marked by a moment
when the ball failed to find the back of the net.
We had another great example today. I don’t want to put all the blame on Raheem Sterling.
There were many other players who should have put the ball in the net, but
the best chance in the final minutes was a header that should have been saved by the winger.
Once out, Cole Palmer tucked in a perfect cross, but for some reason Sterling couldn’t even get the ball into the goal.
