Of all the young Chelsea players currently on loan developing their games,
Omari Hutchinson is perhaps the one attracting the most interest.
He remembers there was great excitement when Chelsea signed Omari
Hutchinson from Arsenal in the summer of 2022, acquiring a highly rated talent from the Gunners’ academy.
The 20-year-old broke out in first-team football during a season-long loan spell at Championship club Ipswich Town.
The Blues appear to have been in regular contact with the rising star throughout the campaign.
The Athletic claimed Chelsea are “very happy” with the progress of Hutchinson’s loan spell at Ipswich.
It is believed that manager Mauricio Pochettino has been in regular contact
with the 20-year-old and has expressed his satisfaction.
The paper adds that the left-footed striker has just over a year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge,
but Chelsea are willing to discuss him at length once this season is over.
Several teams are already considering a move or loan for Hutchinson next season,
with The Athletic saying it would be surprising if he fails to sign a new deal with the Blues.
Hutchinson improved as the championship campaign progressed.
We are currently in a busy period of the season with Ipswich fighting for automatic promotion,
but the Chelsea loanee is coming out of his shell and doing his best.
