In a recent interview, Victor Osimhen said that he has decided where he will play next season.
The Napoli striker has established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe and played a key role in the team’s third Scudetto win last season.
Premier League sides Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in signing the Nigerian international who are in need of a powerful striker.
But Osimhen put an end to transfer rumors in January when he signed a massive new contract to stay with the Serie A champions.
Speculation continues over Osimhen’s destination for the 2024-25 season, with the striker keen to talk about a possible career in English football.
Speaking on CBS Sports on Tuesday afternoon, Osimhen said the 25-year-old has “made up his mind” about his future, but it may take some time to make it public.
“There are rumors linking me to the Premier League,” Osimhen said.”When you’re one of the most famous strikers in the world, you expect that.
“Of course, the Premier League is one of the biggest and best leagues in the world.” I signed a new contract with Napoli, I enjoy my time there and spend time with the team.
At the end of the season I made a decision. “I know what I want to do with my career. I was the decision maker from the beginning and I made a plan, although everything went well for me, but when I started, it didn’t go as planned.
“I always knew I wanted to take it to the next level.”Now I want to finish the season as strong as possible, rest with my daughter, think about my life and make decisions,” added Osimhen.
Napoli, who are hot on the heels of their £130m-plus star player, are ready to part ways with the striker if they can accept a record fee for the Nigerian.
