Chelsea have set the price for Real Madrid loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga at €25 million.
Chelsea are ready to part ways with Real Madrid loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga for good, but will demand at least €25m to complete the deal, according to SPORT.
Arrizabalaga was loaned to the Spanish club in the summer transfer window after Thibaut Courtois suffered a long-term injury earlier in the season.
He replaced his Belgian team-mate but failed to secure a starting place in Carlo Ancelotti’s line-up.
The Spanish goalkeeper has made 18 appearances in all competitions and kept seven clean sheets.
However, he had to share the starting spot with Andrey Lunin, who kept five clean sheets in 12 games in all competitions.
Ancelotti has previously revealed that he is not happy with who is in goal as no goalkeeper has lived up to his trust and will continue to fight for his place in the line-up.
However, there is no indication that Chelsea are willing to sell him, but any sale would be a net gain as he is a homegrown player.
That would be one way to balance the books of Todd Boehly and others. They are concerned about breaching FFP rules and because of that, homegrown stars Conor Gallagher and Armando Broya have also been linked with an exit.
This article appears to have been written after another difficult result for Everton last December.
A current Chelsea board member has spoken out about the club’s recent poor form. Chelsea have had a difficult time in recent seasons and it has been hard to watch for both the club’s fans and management.
He was hoping for big things after impressive loan spells at Huddersfield and Brighton and is currently waiting to feature in England’s Euro 2024 squad after making his international debut last October.
