Former Michigan football CB Ja’Den McBurrows commits to Appalachian State transfer portal
He could have been Michigan football’s next great nickelback, but health continued to be a big issue for former defensive back Ja’Den McBurrows.
In limited showings, McBurrows shined, but he struggled to see the field. Oft injured, the Florida native rarely found himself in a starring role. Sometimes it was just happenstance, but McBurrows was also injured in the aftermath of the tunnel altercation perpetrated by rival MSU in 2022. In 2023, he got one start with Mike Sainristil moving outside to replace an injured Will Johnson, and he thrived.
Before the spring game this year, McBurrows entered the transfer portal, and on Tuesday, he made his choice, leaving for Appalachian State, per On3.
