Chelsea advanced to the League Cup final with a 6-1 win over Middlesbrough in the second leg, but it wasn’t Mykhailo Mudrik’s best night.
The 23-year-old started against Mauricio Pochettino’s Championship side but was told to shower early at half-time.
The Chelsea winger appeared to have lost the new 45 minutes, with both his manager and midfielder Enzo Fernandes unimpressed with his performance.
Nedum Onuoha told ESPN he was on the pitch during the match and noticed Mauricio Pochettino and Enzo Fernandez causing him “a lot of pain”.
The former defender revealed that Myhajlo Mudrik was an unreliable player who made “stupid decisions” which led to “distrust” from the manager.
Like many of the players in the Stamford Bridge dressing room, Chelsea paid big money for the player in January but it has not paid off so far.
Blues in the fourth round of the cup, there is a villa. I was surprised to see “Mikhlo Mudics” in the first XI. Onha said: “Mudduk suffered a lot of sadness from the administrator today. “And Enzo Fernández was very sad at the scene.
He continued to instruct her every time someone moved in the same direction. He should have followed someone else, but he did the opposite.
“There were a lot of times where he took the ball and turned it over with some stupid decisions. You realize that your manager’s trust in you is disappearing day by day.
“If the way they’re treating him today is any indication of how they feel about him throughout the season, he doesn’t seem likely to survive the next game.”
When Mudric first joined there was a lot of buzz around him. Mainly because Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were interested in him, but also because of the price. In some cases, players need time to develop and all you need is patience.
But having that much money thrown at you creates a whole other level of expectations that they can’t meet. This is the case now with Mudrick.
Had he signed for £30m we would have known better about him last year. But that doesn’t seem to be the case and he has to deal with it.
