Kendry Paes believes he is set for a big move to Chelsea next summer and is stepping up efforts to ensure that happens.
That’s according to Equavisa newspaper, which today featured the youngster’s comments after his recent impressive performance at Independiente del Valle.
The 17-year-old was once again the star of his team’s game against Deportivo Cuenca at the weekend, scoring the winning goal from outside the box.
This was his fourth goal and third assist of the season, an impressive feat considering he has only played 12 games in the professional league so far.
This is further evidence of his growing fame, and evidence that Chelsea may have been smart when they signed him.
The Blues decided last year to secure the highly-rated youngster ahead of his potential rivals, sealing a deal that will see him move to Stamford Bridge
when he turns 18 in 2025. So far, he has remained at Independiente del Valle to continue his development,
but he regularly visits Chelsea to integrate into the club if possible.
And he is confident he will be ready for full action in London when he joins Chelsea permanently in a year’s time.
“I started the game, scored a goal, became the main character, and gave a program,” he said.
“I believe that daily training, professional league games, and Libata d’Ol games will take me to Chelsea.
