Disappointed, manager Mauricio Pochettino returned to last night’s press conference and said, as he liked to say, This is not the Chelsea of old.
It’s a new era, where expectations have to be lower.”It was an appropriate time to use that word, given how many people
compared our performance last night unfavorably to some of the dominant performances we have become
accustomed to seeing at Wembley in the past. Nicholas Jackson’s ice -like turbulence before the goal was
compared to the way De De Morga would beat us, in these situations, he gained trophy in these situations.
“I feel disappointed, but we have to share two things. We only think in the history of Chelsea.
The team does not support the club’s history. We have to look at this team differently and not compare it to Chelsea’s history,” the manager explained.
It’s understandable that Pochettino tries to lower expectations on a regular basis. He wants to remind everyone that he
must be judged by this new standard, rather than being compared to past champion title holders. Unfortunately, this means that the Argentine will
become the messenger of the new reality. We are no longer just waiting to grow enough to compete with the best clubs, and to some extent we are no longer
even trying to compete with them. The huge spending over the past two years has been done to create a profitable business, something we are not
accustomed to, with Roman Abramovich not shying away from spending big on veteran players who can strengthen his first team. He’s not the type of winning
Jmachine he is. . It’s not a message that many Chelsea fans will be happy to accept. Managers often tell them that
they are now more focused on the bottom line than success, but they don’t want to hear it. You can watch
Pochettino’s speech in the clip attached here, and the answer will appear in less than three minutes.
