Eden Hazard has had the opportunity to play with some really great players throughout his career.
From Kevin De Bruyne to Karim Benzema, Hazard has played alongside
some of modern football’s greatest contemporaries. But as we all know,
Hazard’s best football came at Chelsea and, according to SoccerAid, he is in the process of assembling a five-man dream team made up of former Blues players.
Inevitably Hazard chose Frank Lampard and Gianfranco Zola, but he also selected players who had only spent a few years at Stamford Bridge.
Indeed, Hazard selected Juan Mata for his dream team, saying he enjoyed playing with the Spaniard during his brief spell with him in west London.
Eden Hazard praises Juan Mata
Hazard praised the Spaniard. “I’m also going to play against Juan Mata, his magic left foot.
I loved playing with him because he was someone who never missed a check or missed a pass.
We only played together for two years, but it was a great time,” Hazard said. Juan Mata was great
It may be hard to remember as it was so long ago, but in his final season at Chelsea, Mata was one of England’s best players.
The Spaniard was an incredible addition to Chelsea before his £37m move to Manchester United.
He was one of the most creative players in the country and also had an incredible goal-scoring ability.
Chelsea’s team with Mata and Hazard was fun to watch, and although they were a bit outdated under Rafa Benitez,
they still played some great football. Mata was a really good player during his time at Chelsea,
but his quality is probably not being fully appreciated at Stamford Bridge.
